Glossary of the integrator project "Casa del Jubilado".

Access.: Verb and noun.; Place where you enter or arrive at a site.; Example: The waiting room is located after the main access.; es: Acceso.
Bedrooms.: Noun.; A bedroom is a room where people sleep. A typical western bedroom consists of a bed, wardrobe, nightstand, desk, and dresser.; Example: The bedrooms of the retiree's house are spacious and have all the necessary services.; es: Dormitorios.
Bike path.: Noun.; Public infrastructure or other areas destined exclusively for the circulation of bicycles. The bicycle lane can be any lane on a public road that has been appropriately marked for this purpose or a separate created road where only bicycles are allowed.; Example: The bike path runs through all the green areas of the retiree's house.; es: Ciclovía.
Brick.: Verb and noun.; A brick is a block or a single unit of a clay, sand and lime kneaded soil, or concrete material, hardened by fire or air dried, used in masonry construction.; Example: The retiree's house is made of red brick.; es: Ladrillo.
Building.: Noun.; A structure with a roof and walls, such as a house, school, store, or factory.; Example: The tallest building in the world is the Burj Khalifa.; es: Edificación
Conceptualization.: Noun.; Conceptualizing is the very essence of design in architecture. It is understood as the passage from a subjective idea to a materialization of it, having the architectural drawing as a means to capture it.; Example: The conceptualization of the retiree's house is based on modulation of circular elements to generate internal routes.; es: Conceptualización.
Contemporary style.: Adjetive and noun.; A contemporary style in architecture implies a combination of geometric shapes from different angles, glass not necessarily transparent, exposure of industrial materials in combination with different textures and coatings, such as white stucco with wood, ceramic tile with steel or glass.; Example: The retiree's house implements contemporary style in its facade design.; es: Estilo contemporáneo.
Design.: Verb and noun.; Design is a creative discipline in which aesthetic, symbolic and functional solutions are projected, that is, they move, signify and serve.; Example: The design of the retiree's house is in the contemporary style.; es: Diseño.
Dining room.: Noun.; The dining room designates a space or place in which people gather to eat food, be it breakfast, lunch, dinner or snack. There may be one or more dining rooms in a house, building, company, hotel, office or school.; Example: The dining room of the retirement home is very spacious and pleasant.; es: Comedor.
Distribution.: Noun.; Way to organize something, especially the parts of a building, rooms, etc.; Example: The distribution of the house is very functional for the users.; es: Distribución.
Dressing rooms.: Noun.; A dressing room, is a designated room or area for changing clothes. Changing rooms is offered in a semi-public setting to allow people to change clothes in privacy, either individually or on a gender basis.; Example: The dressing rooms of the retiree's house are very spacious and private for users.; es: Vestidores.
Foundation.: Noun.; The foundation is a group of structural elements and its mission is to transmit the loads of the construction or elements supported to it to the ground, distributing them in such a way that they do not exceed their admissible pressure.; Example: The foundation of the building is concrete.; es: Cimentación.
Kitchen.: The kitchen is the place where food is prepared. It can be the environment dedicated to that task in a home or the specific space in a restaurant.; Example: The kitchen of the retiree's house is very spacious and has what is necessary to serve all residents.; es: Cocina.
Multipurpose court.: Adjetive and noun.; The multipurpose courts are one of the most popular sports venues, thanks to the variety of activities that can be carried out in them, for example, in a multiple courts you can practice basketball, football and volleyball, but you can also do other activities such as gymnastics, Skating, etc.; Example: The multipurpose court is located near the retiree's house.; es: Canchas multiusos.
Natural ventilation.: Noun; Natural ventilation is the technique by which outside air is allowed to enter a building the natural means.; Example: The building has natural ventilation that helps maintain thermal comfort.; es: Ventilación natural.
offices.: Noun.; Room or other area where administrative work is done.; Example: The club offices are located next to the waiting room.; es: Oficinas.
Open air forum.: Noun.; Is a cultural space where multiple outdoor activities are offered such as physical disciplines, concerts, performing arts, festivals, screenings, and popular culture references.; Example: Today there will be a play in the open-air forum of the house of culture.; es: Foro al aire libre.
Parking lot.: Noun.; Place or enclosure destined to park vehicles.; Example: I'll leave my car in the parking lot to go to the gym.; es: Estacionamiento.
Roof garden.: Noun.; A roof garden is any garden on the roof of a building. In addition to the decorative benefit, roof plantings can provide food, temperature control, hydrological benefits, and architectural enhancement.; Example: I invite you all to dinner in my roof garden.; es: Jardín de techo.
Running track.: Noun.; Rubberized artificial running surface for track and field athletics. Provides a uniform surface for competitors to test their athletic ability without being hampered by adverse weather conditions.; Example: The running track is very wide and has several senses to travel it.; es: Pista para correr.
Steel beam.: Noun.; Steel beams are made to contain and withstand weights, pressures, withstand stresses and bending..; Example: The building slab is supported by an IPR steel beam.; es: Viga de acero.
Structure.: Verb and noun.; The structure of the architecture is the part of the whole that supports and distributes loads, that is, that forms the static balance of the building.; Example: The old building structure is about to fall.; es: Estructura.
Vegetation.: Noun.; The advantages that vegetation brings to architecture are endless: thermal control, self-repair, structural support, landscape integration, absorption of specific pollutants and Co2, integration into ecosystems, self-fabrication.; Example: The vegetation of the retiree's house helps to ventilate and generate shadows in the project spaces, in addition to providing a very pleasant view for the user.; es: Vegetación.
Waiting room.: Noun.; A waiting room is a building, or more commonly a part of a building, where people sit or stay until the event they are waiting for happens and begins.; Example: The waiting room of the retiree's house is quite spacious and has a TV.; es: Sala de espera.
Workshop.: Verb and Noun.; Establishment in which craft or manual work is carried out. "carpentry workshop". Course, generally short, in which a certain practical or artistic activity is taught.; Example: On the weekend workshop we learned how to make a table.; es: Taller.
